C. Jane Johnson has specialized in helping clients win Social Security Disability claims since 2010. Her early work as a legal assistant included filing timely applications and appeals both disability and Medicaid, researching SSA and Medicaid rules, helping clients access services for medical and mental health treatment, and everything else necessary to develop successful claims. In May, 2013, Jane passed the national certification exam to become a professional Social Security disability representative. Since then, she has been directly representing claimants at all levels of the process from application to hearing to advanced appeals.
A graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, Jane holds a degree in Business Administration. She has more than 200 hours of specialized disability training through National Business Institute, NC Advocates for Justice, NOSSCR, and NADR. In addition, she has 36 hours of training in mental health through the National Alliance on Mental Illness and 6 hours of training in suicide prevention through Catawba Valley Community College.
“My work helping clients get their disability claims approved is the most rewarding work I have ever done,” Jane says. “I love helping people navigate the complicated Social Security system and get the benefits they deserve.”
When she’s not working, Jane and her husband Ray are avid dog lovers. They have trained several dogs in obedience and agility including their current Catawba County Humane Society rescue, Trixie, a red Merle Australian Shepherd.
