Foothills Disability Law, a firm dedicated solely to helping impaired individuals seeking Social Security disability, will begin practice January 2, 2018. Attorney Nancy L. Huegerich, Accredited Disability Representative C. Jane Johnson, and Medical Specialist Ginny Beisler, RN, will focus their services in the Foothills region including Hickory, Conover, Newton, Morganton, Taylorsville, Stony Point, Hiddenite, Hudson, Hildebran, Connelly Springs, Lincolnton, Statesville and other areas of Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln Counties.
Nancy L. Huegerich, principal of Huegerich Law Firm d/b/a Foothills Disability Law, is a long-time native of Hickory, North Carolina and a graduate of Hickory High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from N.C. State University (graduating magna cum laude), and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina. Nancy has extensive experience in many aspects of the law, but has focused her practice exclusively on Social Security disability work since 2015. When not working, Nancy is usually hanging out with her husband, Mark; her two young daughters; and her Treeing Walker Coonhound, Suzy. In her free time, you will find her on the tennis courts or watching her daughters riding horses or playing soccer and lacrosse.
C. Jane Johnson has specialized in helping clients win Social Security Disability claims since 2010. In May 2013, after three years as a legal assistant, Jane passed a national exam to become a professional Social Security disability representative. Since then, she has been directly representing claimants at all levels of the process from application to hearing to advanced appeals. A business administration graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, she has more than 200 hours of specialized disability training. When she’s not working, Jane and her husband Ray are avid dog lovers who have trained dogs in obedience and agility including their current Catawba County Humane Society rescue, Trixie, a red Merle Australian Shepherd.
Ginny Biesler has worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years. She retired from public health nursing in Maryland, relocated to North Carolina and then returned to work as a certified school nurse with Hickory Public Schools. She received honors from the NC Parent Teacher Association as the 2012-2013 School Nurse of the Year. After 10 years of school nursing, Ginny retired again and continues to work part time advocating for and helping the disabled. She currently serves on the board of directors for Council on Adolescents of Catawba County. Ginny received her BSN from Bowie State University and her Master of Science in Management from University of Maryland. She and her husband Chris live in Newton and enjoy traveling and spending time with family including two children and four grandchildren all living in the Hickory area.

With more than 20 years experience in law, disability representation and medical case management, the Foothills Disability Law team holds memberships in National Association of Social Security Claims Representatives, National Association of Disability Representatives, North Carolina Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, and North Carolina Advocates for Justice – Disability Advocacy Section, and is licensed to appear before all North Carolina Courts including Western, Eastern, and Middle Districts.
